Prepare the Linux host
Use a Linux host with a working SSH service and Docker Engine. Install Docker Compose where Compose operations are needed. Confirm the SSH account can execute the Docker operations you intend to permit.
- Reachable SSH address and port from the Console Hub server.
- A saved SSH profile with verified host identity.
- Docker access for the remote account; additional Compose/filesystem access for project work.
Set workspace permissions
To view Docker resources, your account needs permission to view the host, connect over SSH, and view Docker. Making changes also requires Docker management permission. The remote account must have the necessary operating-system and Docker permissions.
Verify Docker access
Open the Docker workspace and inspect the overview. Check that containers and images match the selected host before performing any action. If access fails, verify the saved SSH profile and the same account's Docker access on the host.
Add the Docker host separately
Installing Console Hub in Docker does not automatically grant it access to that Docker host. Add a saved host and configure the SSH route explicitly. Do not publish a Docker socket or Engine API simply to make the workspace connect.
