Start with names people recognize

Choose a naming convention that identifies environment and purpose. Group hosts by a boundary your team understands, such as production, staging or service ownership. Add a small set first and confirm the metadata is correct.

Validate a saved profile once

Configure the SSH account, port and credential for each host. Review the host key, then open a terminal and verify the destination. Add SFTP separately where file work is needed.

Share only the hosts a teammate needs

On the Team plan, use host permissions and access groups to give each colleague the access they need. Review permissions when responsibilities change. Console Hub permissions do not replace permissions on the remote host.

Keep the workspace focused

Use labeled tabs for the task at hand and close sessions you no longer need. Before running a command or changing a file, check the selected host and environment. Keep destructive changes within your normal review process.
